Take a step back in time when steam powered paddle wheelers plied the rivers of Alaska and the lower 48. The skyline, houseboats and mountain views provide the perfect backdrop to celebrate your special day as you cruise the waterways of Seattle. We are committed to creating a perfect event in all details to make your wedding day a unique, fun and memorable experience.

Your Wedding Event
The Queen of Seattle is the largest steam powered paddle wheeler west of the Mississippi. This unique venue will be a perfect setting for your wedding reception. We can arrange for all of your needs including caterers, beverage service, entertainment and decorations. The bride and groom can even toot the steam whistle together in celebration.

Our vessel has 2 enclosed decks and 2 open decks and can accommodate up to 275 passengers. The interior has an 1890’s theme, viewing area of the steam engine room, steam calliope, changing rooms, dance floor, tables and chairs, and video monitors for viewing the paddle wheel as it turns.

Catering Services
We have chosen preferred caterers who are well known for their quality of food and service. Sample menus are included, and all of their menu selections can be customized to accommodate your wishes. There would be a fee if you want to select another caterer to bring on board, but we will still take care of all your beverage needs.

Beverage Services: The following are options available for your event.
Cash Bar: Each person pays for their own drinks.
Hosted Bar: A record is kept of all sales and the host is billed after the event.
Scrip Bar: Tickets are given to the host to distribute to guests and then the host is billed after the event based on consumption.
Inclusive Bar: As part of your cruise cost you can choose to add a hosted per person charge that will include all beverages during your charter.
Rates include tax on all options. Gratuity will be included for an Inclusive Bar, and will be additional for all other options.

Availability: Throughout the year. Reservations should be made as early as possible to ensure availability..

Amenities and Facts: 1884 reciprocating steam propulsion engines, viewing area of steam engine room, 1890’s “Gold Rush” themed interior, four decks-2 enclosed, one covered and one open, private dressing rooms, video monitors for viewing paddle wheel and exterior points of interest.
Price Range: Varies depending length of cruise, menu selections and other special services.
Catering: Full service catering available through our preferred vendors or choose your own caterer.
Types of Events: Wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, casual and formal functions.

Parking: Parking is available in lots nearby our departure dock at South Lake Union Park
Linens, Napkins, China, and Tableware: Provided by our caterers
Cleanup: Included in catering cost
Decorations: Please inquire. We have several preferred vendors that can assist you in creating your theme.

Special Services: Photography, floral decorations, music and DJ’s, entertainment, theme events, transportation and A/V equipment.

Public Cruises: We also offer Lake Union/Ship Canal Cruises daily mid April through mid October with narration, Klondike “Gold Rush” theme, live show with songs and steam calliope.
